Helper AI (“Helper AI”, “we”, “us”) provides an AI-powered chat widget that lets service businesses answer customer questions and book appointments. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to helper-ai.org and the Helper AI application.
Who this policy is for
Our customers are businesses that sign up for Helper AI and connect their Google account. We also process messages from the end customers who chat with the widget on a business's website.
Information we collect
- Account information. Your name, email address, and business details you provide when you sign up.
- Google account data. When you connect Google, we access your calendars and calendar events as described below.
- Conversation data. Messages exchanged between your website visitors and the chat assistant, and any booking details (such as name, contact info, and chosen time) they provide.
- Technical data. Basic logs needed to operate the service securely, such as timestamps and error information.
How we use Google user data
When you connect your Google account, Helper AI requests only the access required to run the booking features:
- openid, email — to create your account and identify you when you sign in.
- calendar.readonly — to list your calendars and check your busy times, so the assistant only offers free slots.
- calendar.events — to create the appointment event in your calendar when a customer books.
Limited Use disclosure. Helper AI's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it to train generalized AI models. We only use it to provide and improve the Helper AI features described above.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your data only as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data — including your Google connection, bookings, and chat history — at any time from your account settings page. Deletion is immediate and irreversible. You can also revoke Helper AI's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
How we protect your data
Access tokens and sensitive data are stored securely, access is restricted, and connections are encrypted in transit. We follow the principle of requesting the minimum access required for the features we provide.
Your rights
You may access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, manage your data from your account settings or contact us at the address below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page.
